February has been nothing but freezing thus far and the temps don’t seem to be warming up any time soon. As you may recall from my first blog post, my Layering Advisory, layers are the key to survival. But with wind chills in the single digits, you’ve got to beef up every layer.
For this, I rely on chunky knits, another item of clothing I’d never considered for purchase until moving to the Northeast. I replace two, maybe even three cotton/linen layers with a chunky knit, throw on my my parka and hey, I’m still alive and kickin.
The chunky knit I’m wearing above is by Free People, I picked it up at Lord and Taylor during a blowout sale last week for $38.00 (damn, i’m good). I’m a huge fan of any oversized knit and especially one that has a turtleneck. Here are a few of my other top picks to keep you warm.
