As a Florida girl, I love my palm trees. But do Palm fronds transform into shades of yellow, orange, red, and brown? No, absolutely not ever. Realistically speaking (or typing I guess), Florida really has one season, summer. Maybe the “fall” months aren’t as hot as the traditional summer months, but it’s beach season year round where I come from.
My first year in Boston, fall quickly became my favorite season. Crisp air with zero humidity, leaving my hair and makeup peacefully in place, how could I not love it? My favorite part besides this and of course the availability of pumpkin spice lattes, is the fall foliage.
Imagine how thrilled I was to snag these ever-so-trendy culotte pants in my favorite autumn hues at Zara?!
What exactly are culotte pants? Well, in French, it means knickers. According to Dictionary.com (credible fashion source, I know), culottes are women’s trousers, usually knee-length or calf-length, cut full to resemble a skirt. My definition, not pants, nor shorts, or skirts, not too long, not too short.
My advisory, culotte pants go best with a slim cut, fitted or cropped top. Here, I’ve paired them with a basic slim fit turtleneck and a blazer for the classic work get-up. Swap out the blazer with a cropped bomber jacket to dress it down and you’re all set.
Oh, and let me not forget to mention, these culotte pants are currently on SALE at Zara, plus they are available in multiple colorse. Go get em ladies!
